Description of treatment using donor eggs
The DIVF treatment programme includes a set of treatment procedures where the eggs from an anonymous female donor are fertilized by partner or donor eggs.
The principle of and basic information about the DIVF treatment programme
The DIVF process starts with hormonal stimulation of the female donor, which is necessary to obtain a larger quantity of eggs than in the periodical ovulation cycle. The partner’s sperm is taken on the day the female donor’s eggs are taken. The eggs obtained are subsequently fertilized by the sperm and the embryos created are further preserved (cultivated) outside the woman’s body. After several days of cultivation, the best embryo is transferred to the female donee’s uterus - Embryotransfer. The remaining quality embryos can be frozen and preserved for further treatment.
THE MOST CYCLES WITH DONOR EGGS IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC
