Scientific expertise and innovation
Scientific approach.
Clinical Innovation.
Implementation of cutting-edge technology.
“Our mission is to provide top-class medical treatment and work at forefront of clinical research and innovation looking at ways of improving the outcomes of fertility treatment, so that patients are continually receiving the very best healthcare”.
We are aware that IVF success is based on medical and scientific expertise, highly-skilled and experienced team, evidence based decision making and application of state-of-the-art technology.
Therefore, Reprofit International is building its R&D department that translates innovative science to the clinical practice and promotes transfer of latest research advances to the patients.
The R&D division is an active part of our team and runs different projects that are aimed at optimising current assisted reproduction treatments, seeking new alternatives and implementing new techniques for safe and effective fertility therapies.
Some lines of our applied research are carried out entirely in our clinic, and others are undertaken jointly with other IVF clinics within FutureLife consortium. Besides, we also collaborate on scientific projects with academia and industry on national and international level.
Another role of R&D division is to secure high standards of medical education, training and continuing professional development. Our close ties to academia and representation in professional bodies demonstrates our dedication to contribute to further development of the field of reproductive medicine.
R&D department is led by Dr. Zuzana Holubcova who has joint our team in 2015 as a scientific advisor and coordinator R&D-related activities.
Dr. Zuzana Holubcova is an experienced scientist in the field of fertility research. She has received her PhD for the work on genetic instability of human embryonic stem cells. As a postdoctoral researcher in Cambridge UK she pioneered new imaging techniques to study human egg development. Her work on oogenesis and human egg propensity to genetic abnormaities was published in top scientific journals and she received prestigious Basic Science Award from European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE).
