PGT-A
PGT-A (preimplantation genetic testing of aneuploidy) - examination of embryos to eliminate newly formed defects of chromosomes in a couple with no genetic
disorders.
It is a disorder in the number of chromosomes (aneuploidy), which arises randomly during maturation of eggs and sperm or during the development of the embryo. The aim of this investigation is to choose a genetically healthy embryo for the transfer and thus increase the chance of successful implantation of the embryo in the uterus, reduce the number of required embryo transfers, reduce the risk of spontaneous abortion or chromosomal defect of the fetus. At the same time we can explain the cause of IVF failures.
PGT-A is recommended especially for women over the age of 35 years after repeated miscarriages or failures of assisted reproduction, in cases of chromosomal
abnormalities in the fetus or child or after cancer treatment in the past.
